Mail protection status
|
All the necessary information on mail protection can be found in the
Mail Anti-Virus subsection of the
Protection section of the main program window.
The most important is E-mail Anti-Virus status:
- Mail Anti-Virus : running -- protection is enabled for your e-mail against viruses.
- E-mail Anti-Virus : paused - mail protection from spam is disabled for a certain period of time. The component refreshes its work automatically when the program is restarted or after the length of time has expired for which Active Virus Shield was paused. You can also enable E-mail Anti-Virus manually. To do so, click the
button in the status field.
- Mail Anti-Virus : disabled - the component has been stopped by the user. You can
enable e-mail protection. To do so, click the
button in the status field.
- Mail Anti-Virus : malfunction - e-mail protection is not available for some reason. For example, you do not have a license key to use the program.
- Mail Anti-Virus : running (subsystem malfunction) - the component encountered an error. In such a case, view the report on the operation of E-mail Anti-Virus. It is possible that you will find the reason for the error there. If you cannot work through the problem on your own, contact the Support.
Information on the level of e-mail protection that E-mail Anti-Virus is running on and on the action taken if dangerous objects are detected in your e-mail is available in the
Status section. By left-clicking any place in the section, you can easily begin
editing the current E-mail Anti-Virus settings.
The Statistics section displays composite information on the performance of the component. Here you can view the number of e-mail objects scanned since the program was opened and the number of malicious objects. You can view detailed information on component operation in the report by left-clicking anywhere in that area.
