We have long supported publication of free documentation. We feel that good, free documentation for free software is as important as free software itself.
We do publish a number of books of free
documentation ourselves. You can order
printed copies of our books, download them from the
/gnu/Manuals
directory on our ftp
site and browse them online.
Fortunately, we are no longer the only publisher of free documentation books. Other publishers have joined us by publishing books under free documentation licenses. On this page, we keep a list of these non-GNU free books that we have come across. If you find out about a free book that we don't have listed here, please let us know by emailing us at <free-books@gnu.org>.
Newer listings are placed at the top of this list.
