Capturing an Icon

You can grab an icon using the Custom Region command, and you must save it using the .ico file extension. Icons must be exactly 32 X 32 pixels and no more than 16 colors. If an image has more than 16 colors, you may create a 16 color duplicate using the Create Duplicate command.

To capture an icon:

  1. Choose Capture Image > Custom Region.

The Define Custom Region dialog box appears.

  1. Under the Area Type heading, choose Icon.

  2. Click Capture Area.

The Screen Rip32 window disappears and an icon-sized square appears on your screen.

  1. Move the icon-sized square to surround the image you wish to grab.

  2. Click the left mouse button.

The Screen Rip32 window reappears displaying the icon capture.
