The OIA (Operator Information Area) is the area at the bottom of
the IBM Host On-Demand screen where emulator messages appear. Below
are the messages with an explanation for each.

- Time is required for the host system to perform a function. Wait.
- X SYSTEM
- The host system has locked your keyboard. Wait.
- X <-o->
- You tried to enter, insert, erase, or delete a character when the cursor was in a protected area.
Move the cursor to an unprotected position and retry the operation.
- Comm 654
- IBM Host On-Demand could not establish connection to the Telnet3270 server.
Ensure that your Telnet3270 server and port customizations are correct.
Also, ensure that your Telnet3270 server is running, and the server's port is configured for Telnet3270.
Finally, ensure that your Telnet3270 server is supported by IBM Host On-Demand.

- IBM Host On-Demand is waiting for option negotiation to complete with your Telnet3270 server.
- Comm 657
- IBM Host On-Demand is waiting for resolution of the Telnet3270 server host-domain.
- Comm 658
- IBM Host On-Demand is initializing the TCP connection for Telnet3270.

- The Telnet3270 TCP connection has been cut off to IBM Host On-Demand.
