Don't show me as online | Check this option if you want to become "invisible". You won't be marked in the White Pages as on-line. |

Default Call Processing | Specify how IRIS Phone should act when it detects an incoming call from a user not listed in any of your Phone Books. |
Parental Control | Specify a password that will be required for starting IRIS Phone. |
Video Window Contents | Check the desired information to be displayed in the video window. |
Auto Upgrade Over the Net | Check this option if you want to upgrade automatically your IRIS Phone to new releases as soon as they become available. |
Get Online Users On Startup | Check this option if you want to retrieve the currently on-line users every time you start IRIS Phone. |
Add Video to Voice Mail | Check this option if you want to add video to the voice messages you send to other IRIS Phone users. |
Keep a Log of Calls | Check this option if you want to store a log of all your calls. |
Enable Funs | Enable tips and jokes display. |
Enable Photo Autoload | Allow automatic picture loading and display. |
Enable Startup Animation | Allow the IRIS Phone animation display at startup. |
Launch IRIS Phone at Windows Startup | Check this option if you want to launch IRIS Phone at Windows' startup. |
Audio |
Microphone Sensitivity | This is the lowest speech level that IRIS Phone should process. It is very important that this setting is adjusted properly so that you may hold audible conversations. To set it up, perform the IRIS Phone loopback test. |
Microphone Volume | Specify the amplifying level of your microphone which controls the volume of the perceived sound. It is very important that this setting is adjusted properly so that you may hold audible conversations. To set it up, perform the IRIS Phone loopback test. |
Environment | Select the environment you use IRIS Phone in when you have checked automatic Microphone Sensitivity. To learn more, see IRIS Phone loopback test. |
Speaker Volume | Adjust the volume of the sound coming through your speakers. To learn more, see IRIS Phone loopback test. |
Full Duplex Echo Cancellation | During full duplex operation, you can experience echo problems if you use speakers and microphone. Check Auto to prevent this effect automatically or drag the slider when Auto is cleared to adjust it manually. |
Audio Device |

Start Loopback Test | Click to start and then stop the audio test. To learn more about this test, see IRIS Phone loopback test. |
Maximum Connection Speed Used For Voice Transmission | Specify the maximum connection speed in bps for both receiving and sending voice through IRIS Phone. |
Allow Full Duplex Operation | Select to make IRIS Phone operate in full duplex mode. This option is available if you have a full duplex sound card only. If the remote party is in half duplex mode, IRIS Phone will operate in half duplex mode. Yet bear in mind that usually sound produced during half duplex operation is more audible. |
Mono Speaker Operation | Select if your speakers are in mono operation. This will improve the quality of the output sound. |
Video |
General | Specify the maximum desired receive and transmit video frequency (in frames per second). That setting depends directly on your Internet connection speed. The higher the speed, the higher the supported frequency. Uncheck the Reduce Captured Frames Size option only when using IRIS Phone over LAN if you want to transmit larger frames. This will be possible only if you have specified larger frame size in the Video Format dialog of your capturing device. When using IRIS Phone over the Internet, this option should always be checked. |
Camera Type | Specify your video camera type: color or black and white. |
Video Device | Specify your
video device. IRIS Phone supports any Video-For- Windows compatible video capture card.

Video Quality | Choose the desired received video quality. Bear in mind that the better the quality, the slower the transmission. |
Network |
Use TCP Instead of UDP | Check this option if you cannot hear the remote party during conversation. This usually happens when either you or the remote side are protected by a firewall. |
I Have a Static IP Address | Check this option if you are sure that your PC's IP address is the same every time you establish an Internet connection. |
Sounds |
System Sounds | Activate the desired event sounds. |
Interface Sounds | Activate the desired interface-specific event sounds. |
No Sounds | Press to disable all event sounds. |
All Sounds | Press to enable all event sounds. |
Interface |
Interface | Select an IRIS Phone user interface. |
Interface Specific Options | Press to open the Interface Specific Options dialog and select the desired options. They will be available for the currently used interface only. |
