Differences between debit cards and credit cards
Debit cards are offered at nearly every financial institution today and are very popular. A debit card looks like a credit card but the money is taken from your checking account directly. Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) cards are debit cards, and those with the Visa or MasterCard logo are accepted anywhere that accepts the credit card.
A credit card is a charge account with varying terms for repayment. You receive a bill each month for a credit card.
