1  If necessary, prepare your Quicken file (see below).

2  Close Quicken and open Money.

3  On the File menu, click Convert Quicken File. You won't need to go to the File menu if you haven't yet worked on a Money file, or if you've just been viewing the Product Tour. In these cases, Money will prompt you to open a file.

4  In the Convert Quicken File dialog box, choose the folder that contains your Quicken file, and then choose it from the list. Click OK.

5  Money leads you through the Converter wizard for Quicken. Follow the instructions on your screen until the conversion is complete. If you have a large Quicken file, this might take a while. When your file is converted, Money displays a summary of everything that happened during the conversion.

6  Save the conversion summary so that you have a copy of it for reference.
