Troubleshoot my modem settings

If you canÆt connect to the Internet and know that the problem is modem-related, try the following steps to correct the problem:

1 In the taskbar (The bar (usually located the bottom of your screen) that contains the Windows Start button.), click the Windows Start button, point to Settings, and click Control Panel.

2 In the Control Panel window, double-click Modems.

3 Select your modem from the list and then click Dialing Properties.

4 Read through the instructions and make sure all the correct options are selected.

What if I have call waiting?
