What if I havenÆt matched this E-bill to a bill in Money?
Before you can pay an E-bill (A bill you receive and pay over the Internet. Same as electronic bill.) in the following manner, you must first match the E-bill to a bill in Money. Click the link at the bottom of this help topic for details.
1 On the
navigation bar (The strip at the top of the Money screen where you can click to go to the different areas in Money.), click
Bills.
2 In the left pane, click Pay Bills.
3 Select the next occurrence of the E-bill you want to pay.
4 At the bottom of the list, click View E-bill.
Money connects to the Internet and accesses your E-bill providerÆs Web site.
5 On the E-bill Web site, navigate to the bill you want to pay and schedule it for payment, making sure to complete all required information.
6 If you are using MoneyÆs
internal Web browser (The browser that opens within Money to allow you to view Web pages without having to leave the Money program.) and your provider supports automatic updates, you will be asked to record this payment in Money. Complete the transaction form, and click
Record Payment.
If your provider does not support automatic updates or you are using your default Web browser, you will need to record this payment in Money manually.
What happens in Money after I record this E-bill?
Money:
- Crosses off the bill in the Pay Bills place.
- Records the transaction in the appropriate Account Register.
- Changes the transactionÆs status to Paid.
- Adds it to the list of Recently Paid Bills.
Can I still pay this E-bill even if I donÆt match it to a bill in Money?
Yes. Go to the E-bills place in the Bills & Deposits area and log on to your E-bill provider Web site, skip the Set up E-bills wizard, and then go to the specific bill you want to pay. Complete the required information.
