Set up Bills & Deposits is where you go to schedule (To specify in Money that a transaction occurs with a regular frequency.) your recurring transactions (Payments, deposits, transfers, or investment purchases that are set up in Bills & Deposits to occur with a specific frequency. Upcoming instances of these transactions appear in the Pay Bills place.) in Money. The list here includes all of the recurring bills and deposits youÆve scheduled in Money, including transfers and investment purchases, organized by transaction type.

For each recurring transaction, the list shows:

• Transaction icon Different types of transactions are indicated by different colored icons:

• Payments and transfers are white.
• Deposits are green.
• Investment purchases are yellow.

• Payee For payments, transfers, and investment purchases, the payee represents who gets the money when you pay it. For deposits, itÆs where the money you deposit comes from.
• Account For payments, transfers, and investment purchases, this is the account the money will be withdrawn from. For deposits, itÆs the account the money will be added to.
• Frequency The rate at which individual occurrences of this recurring transaction occur, for example, weekly, monthly, or quarterly.
• Amount Figures in red and enclosed in parentheses represent withdrawals from the account shown. A tilde (~) means that the amount displayed is an estimate, entered when you scheduled the transaction. Whether an amount is estimated depends on the options set for the recurring transaction.

Because Money factors recurring transactions into your balance forecast, in order to have an accurate forecast, it is important to schedule all of your recurring transactions.

Change details of all future occurrences of your recurring transactions

When you edit the details of a recurring transaction in Set up Bills & Deposits, your changes will apply to all future occurrences of the bill or deposit. If you only want to change the details of the next occurrence, you can edit the specific transaction from the Pay Bills place. Changes made to transactions in the Pay Bills place have no affect on any other occurrence of the scheduled transaction.

If you use electronic bills (E-bills)

When you schedule a recurring bill in Money, you cannot immediately designate it as an electronic bill (E-bill (A bill you receive and pay over the Internet. Same as electronic bill.)). You will be able to do that the first time you download the E-bill from your E-bill Web site. When you download an E-bill for the first time, Money presents you with the Set up E-bill wizard which will walk you through the few steps required to match your E-bill to a bill you have set up in Money. It will even help you schedule a recurring bill in Money if you have not already done so. Once you establish this link, every time you check for an E-bill, you can update the details of that bill in Money.
