Learn about the Balance Forecast

The Balance Forecast chart displays the projected balance of selected accounts over the coming months. To select accounts you want to include and the period of time over which you want to forecast, click the View and Timeframe drop-down lists at the bottom of the screen and select the appropriate option.

This forecast is based on:

• Each account's current balance.
• All the recurring transactions (Payments, deposits, transfers, or investment purchases that are set up in Bills & Deposits to occur with a specific frequency. Upcoming instances of these transactions appear in the Pay Bills place.) youÆve scheduled in Money that involve the selected accounts.
• All future-dated payments in the Account Register.

To get an accurate forecast, make sure to schedule (To specify in Money that a transaction occurs with a regular frequency.) all of your upcoming payments, deposits, and transfers in Set up Bills & Deposits.

The Budget Forecast

In addition to the above, the Budget Forecast takes your budget into consideration. Just click Budget Forecast in the View drop-down list at the bottom of the screen. To see the transactions that make up the Budget Forecast, right-click the report, and then click View Details from the menu.
