Change an account's opening balance

Change an accountÆs opening balance

1 Go to the account whose balance you want to change.

1 On the navigation bar (The strip at the top of the Money screen where you can click to go to the different areas in Money.), click Accounts.

2 At the top of the left pane, click the down-arrow

, and then click the account you want.

If you don't see the account you want, look for it under Other Open Accounts or Closed Accounts.

2 In the left pane, click Details.

3 Make your change in the Opening Balance field.

The ending balance of this account will be adjusted to reflect the change you made to the opening balance.

If you change your accountÆs opening balance, make sure the figure comes from an account statement. Otherwise, you wonÆt have an official figure to balance the account against.
