Archiving your records means removing old transactions from your working Money file so that your file is a manageable size. The old transactions are not deleted; you save them in another file on your hard disk or on a floppy disk.
It's a good idea to archive as of the first of the year. That way, it's easier to keep your yearly records separate.
1 On the File menu, click Archive.
2 In the Archive box, enter the date up to which you want transactions removed from the current file.
3 You may enter a new name for the archive in the File name box, or accept MoneyÆs default file name.
4 You will get an Archive account dialog box for each account in your current file. Choose which kind of old transactions you want removed from each account.
