ConfMgr Conference Management Functions

Before you can begin managing multicast conferences, you must select an Internet Locator Service (ILS) server with which to connect. You can either select a server whose location has been published to the domain's Active Directory (by clicking the Published ILS Server radio button and selecting a server from the drop-down menu) or specify a server manually (by clicking the ILS Server radio button and entering a server name). If you want to access the ILS server using a different user account than the one you're using on your local computer, enter the domain, user name, and password in the appropriate boxes. Click the Connect it! button to connect to the ILS server.

Once you are connected to the ILS server, a list of the conferences published on the server will appear in the Published conferences window. Below the window are four buttons:

Button Function
Refresh Retrieves a revised list of conferences from the ILS server.
SDP Blob Enables you to view and edit a conference's SDP conference description.
Delete Removes a conference from the ILS server.
Add New Add a conference to the ILS server.

The functions of the Refresh and Delete buttons are self-explanatory and are not explained further. The Add New and SDP Blob buttons are useful to power users, and are discussed in other topics.
