SOCKS

The SOCKetS server is a proxy server that functions as a general-purpose TCP/IP proxy and handles any kind of data traffic (FTP, SMTP, Telnet, HTTP). Most Web browsers support SOCKS, and IBM OS/2 4.0 builds it into its TCP/IP stack, so that all applications can use SOCKS.
