Additional functions, utilities and applications can be programmed directly on the Series 3c using its own built-in programming language, OPL. Whether new to programming or a seasoned professional, you'll find its procedure based, 'BASIC' like structure easy to learn and use.

On the other hand, if you are familiar with Microsoft Visual Basic, you will find the OVAL environment instantly recognisable and will be developing powerful applications in a matter of hours.

While OPL may be written on the Series 3c itself, or on a PC, the OVAL development system requires a Windows-based PC. The Series 3c includes runtime support for OVAL programs.
