With PsiWin, Psion's PC connectivity package, you'll be able to create, open and work on Windows PC files wherever you go, and back up all your data to a PC.

To exchange files you just 'drag and drop' - PsiWin will automatically convert the file formats for you, and is as easy to use as your familiar Windows File Manager.

PsiWin also includes a Windows version of the Psion database application. It enables you to enter data using your PCÆs large screen and full-sized keyboard, then transfer the information to your Psion - and keep the same database on both your PC and Psion.

PsiWin provides everything you need:

  • Take and edit standard PC documents with you - everywhere.
  • Create PC documents - anywhere, anytime.
  • Add a Windows version of the Psion Database to your PC.
  • Print from a Series 3c, 3a or Siena using your PCÆs TrueType fonts.
  • Back up all your data safely and automatically by simply clicking on an icon.
  • PsiWin comes complete with software and Serial cable.
Note - Series 5 PsiWin 2 is a separate, more advanced product, with different features, and is shipped as standard with Series 5.

PsiWin converts from and to the following file formats:

Psion Word:
Microsoft Word 2.0; Microsoft Word 6.0, 7.0; Works for Windows 3.0; WordPerfect 5.1, 5.2, 6.0 for DOS and Windows; Ami Pro 3.0; RTF; Text.

Psion Sheet:
Excel 4.0, 5.0, and 7.0; Lotus 1-2-3 WK3 and WK1; and Quattro Pro 5.0 for Windows.

Psion Agenda:
Act! 2.0; Lotus Organizer 1.0, 1.1 and 2.1; Microsoft Schedule+ 1.0 (on Windows for Workgroups) and 7.0.

Psion Data:
dBase III and IV; Foxpro 2.5; Act! 2.0; Lotus Organizer 1.0, 1.1 and 2.1; Microsoft Schedule+ 7.0 Contacts; CSV; delimited text and the Windows clipboard.

Note: the Agenda conversions require a Series 3c, 3a or Siena.

PsiWin requires a PC with at least an 80386 processor, 4MB of RAM, 7MB of hard drive space and Microsoft Windows 3.1, 3.11, or Windows 95, Windows NT 3.51 or above, or OS/2 Warp.
