WHAT IS MEDIALOCK? Multimedia content is generally distributed in two formats: via Internet download (Audio/Video streaming, MP3) or Optical discs (Audio CD, DVD, VideoCD). Currently users may copy and re-distribute this content without the proper rights/authority to do so. MediaLock is a media copy-protection software technology designed for the protection of multimedia digital content. The "Preview track" may be viewed with any multimedia decoder. The "Secure" track may be viewed with the MediaLockViewer once the viewer has obtained a key (password) to activate the MediaLockViewer.
As the MediaLockViewer passes over content, it is de-scrambled in real-time, in memory, removing any opportunity for digital recording or duplication. WHO USES MEDIALOCK?
