To configure the Player to play multichannel DVDs

1. On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the DVD tab.
2. Click Advanced, and then click the type of surround sound speaker setup that you have.

Notes

• You must have an appropriate decoder, such as a Dolby Digital decoder, installed to play back DVD multichannel audio.
• To play back multichannel audio, you must have a sound card and speakers that support multichannel audio.
• Multichannel audio is only available on select versions of Windows. For more information, see Special features.
