Better Gaussian Blur (obsolete)

This effect is replaced by the After Effects Guassian Blur effect.

This effect blurs a clip by a large amount, letting you control the blurriness in two ways:

  • Use the slider to specify the range of pixels in each frame to average together for the blur. The range spans from a couple of pixels averaged together at the minimum, to almost the entire frame averaged together at the maximum.
  • Use the pop-up menu to choose one of three ways to determine how pixels are averaged: Normal averages both vertically and horizontally from each pixel, while Vertical or Horizontal average pixels together in only the specified direction.
