OUTPUT OPTIONS
Driver: Here you choose which kind of soundcarddriver to use for playback.
- Windows MM (slow, best for Windows 95)
- DirectSound (fast, best for Windows 98 and up)
- ASIO (very fast, best for Windows 98 and up. Only for ASIO supported soundcards!)
Only 1 output: If you want to use ShoutCast or SAM 2 internal over all players then check this option.
Then the left, right and jingle players go thru:
- 1 soundcard
- DSP Left Player
- ShoutCast / SAM 2 DSP plugin
Soundcard: Choose which soundcard the ouput goes to.
And you may choose kind of output: Left, Stereo or Right channel
Buffersize: If you don't like the default output setting, try changing it for better/less performance
Use hardware: If you want maximum audio stability then use this option.
The audio will directly be send to the soundcard, and doesn't go thru DSP and Windows.
Some soundcards doesn't support this feature.
More info at: Skipping sound or late response
Use soundcard input: When you select this option you route a soundcard "recording" stream thru the playback.
Handy if you want to record and use your microphone thru the DSP features of MP3 Tunes.
Also don't forget to setup the soundcard "Recording settings" within windows or the soundcards controller application.
All players may have there own soundcard but...You don't have 4 soundcards!
You can also control the output of a player as: Stereo, Left or Right channel setting.
Read complete guide for
Left or Right soundoutput here.
WARNING! Only use 4 soundcards that are capable of doing so, because windows normaly only recognizes a maximum of 3 different cards.
Some soundcards are professionel and can be used in a maximum of 4 like the Terratec EWS series.
They use a special recognition, combined resources and only 1 multi driver to optimize performance and speed.
The Terratec site explains a lot about it and you can ask them special questions about it.
