How to scan mail
Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal provides real-time protection of incoming and outgoing e-mail messages.simply enable real-time protection and make sure that the Disable Real-Time Mail Protection box in the Troubleshooting window is unchecked.
E-mail databases imported from other computers but not yet connected may be checked for viruses by starting an on-demand scan.
- Make sure that box Do not scan mailboxes in the Troubleshooting dialog box is unchecked.
- Click Scan objects in the left section the Protection tab.
- In the Select Objects to Scan dialog box check box Mailboxes.
- Click Scan.
As a result, the program will scan Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Outlook Express mail databases.
In order to scan e-mail databases in the format of another e-mail program or databases that you brought home on a disk (for instance, from the office),
- Use the Scan objects link in the left section of the Protection tab.
- In the Select Objects to Scan window that will open select a disk or a folder where these databases are stored.
- Press Scan.
