How to enable / disable Kaspersky Anti-Virus

Immediately after your operating system startup, Kaspersky Anti-Virus will virus scan all objects executed at system startup, computer memory and its own application modules.
After this, real-time protection of your computer will be automatically enabled which will be indicated by a red icon in the system tray.

You can disable real-time protection manually. In order to do this:
Real-time protection of your computer will be then disabled and the active icon (red) will turn inactive (gray).

In order to disable automatic launch of Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal after your system restarts:
  1. Follow the Additional Settings link in the left section of the Settings tab.
  2. In the window that will open, uncheck the Launch Kaspersky Anti-Virus at the system startup box.

We strongly recommend that you do not disable Kaspersky Anti-Virus as it may result in your computer becoming infected.
 

In order to enable Kaspersky Anti-Virus:

press Start, select Programs, and in the list of programs that will open find the group Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal and within this group choose the entry Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal.
