The connections on your computer system and your editing equipment (such as a digital camera, digital video deck, or transcoder used with an analog video deck) have either four pins or six pins. Therefore, the 1394 cables used to connect this equipment need either 4-pin or 6-pin connectors (see 1394 Connectors).
