Lifting/Overwriting Segments
Use Lift/Overwrite to replace existing material at the new position, while leaving blank space in the previous position. The total duration of the sequence is unaffected. The material in the sequence remains in sync.
Like the standard Overwrite function, the Lift/Overwrite edit deletes and replaces underlying material at the new position, effectively creating new edits. It also lifts the segments from the previous position, leaving black or silence of the same duration on the track (V1) selected.
