Exporting Shot Log Files
You can export a shot log file from the Avid system in either Tab Delimited or Avid Log Exchange formats for making adjustments in a text editor or for importing to another system.
To export a shot log based on clip information in a bin:

Open the bin containing the clips you want to export and switch to Text
view. For more information on Text view, see Using Text View.

Click a clip icon to select it. Ctrl+click (Windows) or Shift+click
(Macintosh) each additional clip you want to export.

The Export As dialog box (Windows) or a destination dialog box
(Macintosh) opens.

Do one of the following:

If you have previously created an Export setting for exporting shot
log files, click the Export Setting pop-up menu, and select the
setting. Then go to step 11.

If you want to create a new Export setting, go to step 5.

Click the Options button.
|
The Export Settings dialog box opens.

Click the Export As pop-up menu, and select either one of the
following:

Select Tab Delimited to export the selected bin as a tab-delimited
ASCII text file.

Click the Save As button.
|
The Save Export Setting dialog box opens.

Type a name in the Setting Name text box.
|
The export setting name is added to the list of formats available from
the Export dialog box.

(Option) Change the file name in the Export As dialog box (Windows)
or the destination dialog box (Macintosh), but keep the default file
name extension.

Select the destination folder for the file, and click Save.
|
The file is exported and appears at the chosen destination.
