Creating an Avid Log

To create an Avid Log, using a word processor or text editor:

Enter shot log information according to the specifications described in Main Topics: Avid Log Specifications.

Save your file as a text file in the Save As dialog box. You can use the file extension .txt, but it is not required.

The Avid system only accepts text files (ASCII format).

After you double-check the log, import it into the Avid system. For more information, see Importing Shot Log Files.
