Applications for Creating Avid Logs
You can use any word processing application or text editor to create Avid logs. However, you must save the file as a text document (ASCII format).
Windows systems ship with a text editor called WordPad.
(Windows only) To open WordPad:

Select Start > All Programs > Accessories > WordPad.

Mac OS X systems ship with a text editor called Text Edit.
(Macintosh only) To open Text Edit:

Select Go > Applications, and double-click Text Edit.

To create a text document in Text Edit:

|
Select Format > Make Plain Text.
