Projects Menu
GenesisII holds all information about the current landscape map, rendering settings
and environment in a project file (gs2). The Projects menu is used to create
new projects, or open and save existing ones.
- New Project: Creates a new project. All parameters are reset to the
defaults. The Project Information dialog is displayed to collect essential
information.
- Open Project: Opens and existing project. Note that although the
project file format may change between versions GenesisII will always
read and convert files created with previous versions.
- Edit Project Info: Displays the The Project Information dialog.
This sets the project information line for this project, which is displayed
at the bottom of the main window. This information is also used by the

- Save Project: Saves the current project.
- Save Project As: Saves a copy of the current project and continues
working on this copy.

- Export Environmental Settings: Exports the current environmental
settings for a project (lighting, clouds etc) to a file. This is an easy and
convenient way of sharing environmental settings between projects.
- Import Environmental Settings: Imports a set of previously exported
environmental settings.
- Environmental Wizard: The Environment Wizard
dialog provides an easy way of manipulating groups of environment settings.

- Preferences: Displays the preferences dialog.
This is used to set pathing information for the current and new projects.
