Bookmarks

Bookmarks

Bookmarks in 40tude HTML, not to confuse with bookmarks in Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer, can greatly improve your work flow. Bookmarks mark a certain position in a document and visualize as little green books in the gutter of the edit window.

To set a bookmark, move the caret to the desired position and press Ctrl+Shift+[NUM], where [NUM] can be key 0 to key 9. E.g. pressing Ctrl+Shift+6 will set bookmark number 6 at the current caret position.

Once a bookmark is set you can go back to the position of the bookmark by pressing Ctrl+[NUM], where [NUM] can be key 0 to key 9.

Bookmarks in documents can be saved between sessions, so when you reopen a document your bookmarks will still be there. Refer to "Other options" to see how to enable/disable this feature.
