Rix2k Extreme Power Tools Version 5.00

CIP is one of 60+ Win32 apps found in Rix2k Extreme Power Tools. Visit the Radsoft site for more information.

CIPTrans.exe

This build contains a modification to CIP necessary for future development. To enable this version to run correctly it is necessary to run ciptrans.exe a single time on your existing hosts cache. Simply fire up ciptrans.exe and then click the Save button on the toolbar and then exit. You do not need this program again. You may now use the new version of CIP - cip.exe. Subsequent versions, which are already underway, necessitate this first step.

CIP Update Mailing List

CIP is an evolving product. If you want to be on the CIP Update Mailing List for automatic free updates, send a blank email with a correct From or Reply-To field to CIP@radsoft.net and set the Subject field to "CIP Update Mailing List".

Both comctl32.dll and msvcrt.dll have found their way onto most machines by now. If you need these files, check with SoftSeek for the latest versions.

How Rix2k Works

Many of the Rix2k applications work together. Rather than place them all a system directory where they would later be hard to find, we recommend you make your setup folder part of your command path instead. (This is especially beneficial when you have the complete Rix2k Extreme Power Tools on disk.)

Setup

Everything that happened during setup is here in this directory. We have not written anything to your Registry, your desktop, your Start menu, or your Windows and system(32) folders.

During use, CIP will write to no other directory than its own; and create and write to but one Registry key: HKCU\Software\Radsoft. All application settings will be stored at this key.

Thus uninstalling CIP becomes child's play: simply remove your CIP setup folder and the Registry key. No other storage locations in the Registry or on disk are used.

View Your Setup

You still have to decide what you want where - on your Start menu, your desktop, etc.
