Links are what make the Web interactive. By clicking them you can visit other pages, download files to your computer, and automatically send someone e-mail. To add a link to any object drag and drop the name of the link onto the object. A box will appear around the "linked" object to verify your linking. If you drop a link on a background a text object with the name of the link will be created. (Note: If you drop another link on that link the name will not change but the link will!)
Here is a run down of the various links on a Web site:
Intrasite Link: This is a link that leads to another page within the site you are visiting. If you construct a 5-page Web site you should place an intrasite link to all 5 pages on your Home page. In addition, each page should have an intrasite link back to the Home page.
Intrapage Link: Also called an Anchor. Anchors are used to link sections of a single page together. If you wish to have a "link" that takes your visitor back to the top of the page they have been reading, you should use this effect.
External Link: This link will connect you to another Web site. Many Web sites contain a set of "favorite links" to external Web sites. If you have a favorite Web site place a link to it on your page to share it with others.
E-mail Link: This is a link that will start the e-mail software on a visitors computer and place a specific e-mail address in the To field in an e-mail.
Note: When you add new pages to your site, Web Studio adds each page's hyperlink to the Links Tab in the Site Links list. To link to another page, simply drag that page's link to the button or text on your page that is intended to take you to that page.
