The Apatic Bird Game for Windows 98 Second Edition or higher (Win 95/98 version also available) The Apatic Bird Game is an interestingly macabre game that tests your skill at shooting flying birds. In Apatic Bird, bleak creatures of despair circle on your screen. You must shoot them all down or the world will suffer their infestation. Use the mouse to aim the crosshairs and the mouse button to shoot. You have unlimited ammo, but accuracy is the key. The longer you keep their numbers down, the higher your score gets. You can adjust numerous options, such as the birds' speed and sound effects. Obliterate the entire population of Apatic Birds and make this world a better one for all."

DemonStar is a well-crafted space shooter played from an overhead perspective (see screen shots). You're the pilot of a small space fighter who must overcome enemy obstacles to make it to safety. At your disposal is a direct rapid-fire gun to take out the small fries, and a nuke-style weapon that eliminates everything in your path if the going gets tough. If you happen to have a couple of Microsoft gamepads lying around, plug them in and play in true arcade style, with both players on the screen at the same time. The game soundtrack is the handiwork of Bobby Prince, the man responsible for the music in Doom and Duke Nukem 3D.

Jewels of Anubis is a fast-paced puzzle that you will treasure for hours. Your goal in the game is to win the Pharaoh's treasure by removing all the jewels from the screen. Your time is limited, so you will need to work fast (see screen shot).
When you start a new game, a grid of 100 Jewels will appear. Using your mouse, point to 2 identical jewels and click on the left button. Here's the "golden" rule of the game: Jewels can be removed only if they can be connected by straight lines with two or fewer right angles between them. In other words, if there is a path of three (or less) line segments between the jewels, they will disappear. However, if the jewels cannot be connected with three lines, they cannot be removed.
