It isn't and never has been McD policy to cook meat patties that have fallen on the floor--any food that is dropped on the floor, cooked or uncooked, is supposed to be thrown away immediately. I have terminated 2 managers in my career who have sold product in this way, and your situation must be one of very few exceptions to the proper procedure. McDonald's prides itself on serving the best quality in the world, and any manager who is worth his/her salt would not accept the behavior of your store manager.
