You are talking about exerting undue ∩nfluence, not making the laws. Sure lobby groups push their own bosses beliefs. But they do not make the law. I mean influence and actually laws being made are two different things. We have influence directed at us every day (drink coke, drink pepsi etc.) but it is up to us to decide what we want. I know this sounds like a rather simplistic view but as I said influence does not equal law. To your point about Honda or Nissan well the process worked. They tried blackmailing but were caught out. Multinationals will never replace governments. They will continue to use influence but will never be allowed to make the law.
