Ok, like most everyone here, I work at McDonalds. I don't know
what I did in a past life to deserve this, but I am stuck. In my
area there are No jobs, a college town with a rural aspect of
noneconomic growth. Anyways, in case anyone has heard there was
an incident where an Owner/Operator was caught stealing from a
McSatilite store in a Walmart, that was my boss. He was suposedly
banned from entering a McDonalds and any aspect of operating one,
but his office is right there in the back of the store, and he does
the payroll.And then there's his brother who took over "running" the stores when
this happened, okay he had no mcTraining, but we'll listen to him.
He constantly bombards the employees with speeches regarding "your
future at McDonalds" these are quite pointless (I wonder how much
time he spends making them up?). But the reason they are pointless
is the fact that there is no turnover at these stores, and you will
only make manager/crew chief if someone dies.The amont of effort they go through to keep raises and promotions
from comming to us is astounding, i have worked at this McDonalds
for three years and have had one performance review, which I didn't
even get to see. To get a raise, you have to harass the store manager
for two months, and the two months later you will recieve the raise.
Back pay is non-exsistent. And if you have an accident GOD FORBID!
you must somehow get to an health care clinic, not a hospital that
is 10 miles from our store, 15 from another store.Another wonderfull aspect of my store is it is the 1051rst McDonalds
ever built, and the only time the store Owner will update equiptment
or procedures, is after corp. makes it a must, so the store was built
in 1967, has an enormous roach problem, and half the necisary equiptment.
Last summer the Air Conditioning broke down, it gets up to 115 degrees here,
but the crew were told it would be replaced at the end of august, after
summer. They only replaced it after OSHA was called, I wonder who
called them? hehehewell thats all I'll share now, but look for more..........
