Again, I don't get off on causing nuisances like using others' names and handles...and also I don't use the PC at work for personal net surfing like this. Even with Netscape, that's just too much of a security risk, not to mention it's an improper use of company equipment. Although I won't say the specific times, I work the "early day" shift, and I usually get online right after I get home. That out of the way, I will take this time to reply to your other arguments: Being a McDonald's customer is not the same as buying illegal drugs from your friendly pusher, or smoking Marlboro or drinking Jack Daniels. Dope is a very quick and stupid route to an early grave...much faster than a Big Mac, Coke and fries. Just ask River Phoenix or Jerry Garcia. Ditto cigarrettes and alcohol. I don't do drugs, I quit smoking before I turned 20 (over 12 years ago), and very rarely do I drink a beer or wine cooler.
As for using animals for food, again Jesus Himself did just that, and so did the American Indian (and no doubt the Aborrhigenes (spelling?) Down Under). But I do agree that if they are allowed to suffer before they die, that's cruel. A quick and painless death is the way to do it before processing.
While the restaurant industry is not perfect, consumer support does not mean the end of the world as you think. And comparing a Big Mac to pot or heroin goes beyond apples and oranges.
