Mike Bacon has blessed us again with his wonderful brand of twisted logic. He believes eating meat contributes to solving global warming by reducing the population of bovine. I'll try and keep this simple for ya, Mike. The REASON that cows are raised is to support the meat industry. No meat eaten=no cows raised=no cow farts. Of course, the danger of global warming is ver debateable in itself. There really is no proof that it is happening, or if it is that it is caused by human activity. The fact remains however, that much if the earths environmental problems would be solved by the elimination of meat from the human diet. Raising livestock demands tremandous resources of grains, water and energy(Us Canadians are a little paranoid over what will happen to our abundant fresh water supply when the U.S. runs dry). As it takes 6-9KG (15-20lbs.) of grain to produce each pound of beef, the worlds hunger problems could easily be solved if North Americans substantiallu reduced their meat cunsumption. I really think you need to think before you type, Mike. Or is it that you shouln't drink and type?
