Lifestyle/Eating choices

When I was young I was a very strong individualist, heavily influenced by the writings of Thoreau and Emerson. But as I got older I began to see the flaw in individualism for individualism's sake. That flaw is you soon start to determine your lifes goal solely based on the desire not to be like anyone else. From there you progress to criticizing other people just to justify your own position.

One area where this is readily apparent is the meat/vegetarian debate. Who gives a #$%^ what somebody else does as far as eating choices. If you enjoy Mcdonalds, which I did before I moved to a place that had In & Out burgers, enjoy it without criticizing vegetarians. If you want to be a vegetarian, enjoy it, but remember , a majority of species survive by eating other creatures. When I stand before God on judgement day, I don't stand before you. You would do well to remember that.
