humans are infinitely more important than animals

Human beings have hair. How does that differentiate Human beings from Animals? Human beings sleep. How does that differentiate Human beings from Animals? Human beings eat plants. How does that differentiate Human beings from Animals?

Just because we share certain traits with animals, that is no reason to devalue human life to that of an animal. We are also have sentience and the ability to create complex machines, two items alone which put us on a higher pedestal.

Because humans are infinitely more important than animals (see above).

I'd vote that we are much closer to "civilized" than to "jungle out there".
