If I were UPS, I'd do the following:

1) Fire every single striking worker.
2) Hire replacements.
3) Give the replacements exactly what the strikers were asking for.

Labor needs to be taught that there is no "right" to a job. Attacking your company is similar to a dog attacking its master. When that happens, you hit the dog, hard. Then you show it some kindness, to teach it that obediance is rewarded.
