We humans have intellect and therefore choice. I chose to be veggie for 9 years of my life because I felt that I would be doing something wrong if I ate another living being. However, when it became clear to me that a) I could not reduce my impact on the suffering of animals to zero (medical treatment, clothing dyes, haircare products etc, etc.) and b) Animals (including us) have been eating each other for millions of years (it's kind of what we (animals) spend most of our time doing, the rest is spent sleeping and reproducing!) I decided to give up. I now eat meat and am not at all bothered by it. I do not think veggies are wrong (we each should have the right to live our lives as we see fit) however it is hard to equate a rabbits life with a humans... It is deeply instinctive to rate your own species above all others. If I was stuck on a dessert island somewhere and my only source of food was other people then I'd soon turn to them for food also! I WILL SURVIVE! BTW I fully realise that in our modern world I do not need to eat meat to survive, however I like it. And frankly I no longer care about the poor little bunny rabbits (any more than they care about me!) Love 'n' vegetables /Hass
