The Difference Between Knowledge and Wisdom
Knowledge and wisdom are not the same;
they are two different things. Knowledge is
when we "take in" the Word of God; wisdom is
when we "put out" the Word of God. Knowledge
is the "accumulation" of facts; wisdom,
however, is the correct "application" of
those facts.
"The fear of the LORD is the beginning
of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and
instruction" (Proverbs 1:7).
Notice here that Solomon says that
knowledge comes from the reverence of the
LORD. If you want to be knowledgeable,
"study" God's Word. If you want to be wise,
"apply" God's Word. If you do both of these
things, you will be successful in all areas
of your life.
