Use Edit Time mode to work directly with selected blocks of time as opposed to working with keys and range bars. A block of time is any contiguous time segment, across one or more tracks, and is independent of key locations.
In Edit Time mode, keys and range bars of your animation are there only for reference. You select blocks of time and then apply time-editing functions to your selection.
When pasting tracks in Edit Time mode, you can select a contiguous range of tracks that include Position tracks; you're not limited to only the correct track types. Paste Track pastes copies to all of the valid track types.
You can copy and paste controller tracks regardless of whether they have animation keys. When a track has no keys, its value at frame 0 is used. You must select some block of time before cutting or pasting, though the time is ignored.
You can cut, copy, and paste time to and from the time clipboard. After selecting a block of time, you can cut or copy time to the clipboard, and then paste time to selected tracks.
You can use the clipboard to copy time, with keys, to different places in the same track, or from one track to another.
