  12. Dear Stan:

  14.      I received a letter from Fred Darwin of Dallas, Texas, in which
  15. he laid down the history of N.D.R.C. - O.S.R.D. as it became J.D.R.B.
  16. and eventually ended up becoming R.D.B.  He gave me names of persons
  17. whom he considered to be the most likely candidates for team members
  18. on a Flying Saucer recovery operation - "if there were ever such a
  19. happening". They are as follows:

  21.           (1) Dr. Vannevar Bush
  22.           (2) Dr. Karl T. Compton
  23.           (3) Dr. Lloyd V. Berkner
  24.           (4) Dr. Robert F. Rinehart
  25.           (5) Dr. Eric A. Walker
  26.           (6) Dr. John Von Neumann
  27.  
  28.      I did some library research on each name, xeroxing a biography
  29. of each individual, and looking up their descendants in local area
  30. telephone directories.
  31.      Stan, I believe that the name of that individual, whom Sarbacher
  32. mentioned as attending all of the meetings pertaining to recovered
  33. flying saucers, is Dr. Eric A. Walker.

  35.      Remember Sarbacher stating (moore let me hear that tape
  36. recording) that this man came from Pennsylvannia and wrote a book
  37. on Electrical Engineering; well Walker, at that time, was President
  38. of Penn state university, was formerly head of Penn States electrical
  39. Engineering Dept., wrote a book on Electrical Engineering, and was a 
  40. consultant ("dollar a year man") to J.R.D.B 1949-1951. He also was in
  41. charge of a naval laboratory that was developing electronically sonar
  42. guided Torpedoes - which were consequently showing very positive
  43. results against the Japanese during WW II.

  51.      I suppose that Moseley contacted you as pertaining to Dr. Robert
  52. I. Sarbacher. This only proves one thing to me; Moseley is just as
  53. interested in the Crash-Recovery cases as he was in 1954.
  54.      Stan, I am not doing research for Todd Zechel, altho I did have
  55. an earlier run-in with him, which I later regreted. My main goal is
  56. to solve the Flying Saucer Enigma, through the recovery and attempted
  57. duplication cases.
  58.      Please let me know what you find out through Dr. Walker, and do
  59. keep in touch.
