  1. Computers On-Line Presents: An Idaho Report

  4. A report to MUFON concerning a report submitted by
  5. Don C. Mason State Director Idaho, MUFON
  6.  
  7. At approximently 7:00 PM Mountion Standard Time, Mrs. 
  8. Barbara Trammell of Pocatello, Idaho stepped outside of 
  9. her home onto her patio.  It was approx. one hour prior to
  10. sunset, and although the sun was out, there were a few clouds
  11. in the sky.

  13. The city of Pocatello, and its airport sit to the east of
  14. the witnesses house.  Glancing at the sky, Mrs. Trammell
  15. noticed what at first looked like a small aircraft flying
  16. from the southwest toward the northeast.  Mrs. Trammells
  17. son, a privite pilot, often flys over her home, and she is
  18. familar with his altitude and approx. speed when he is flying.

  20. She stepped into her kitchen, and grabbed her 7 by 35 mm
  21. binoculars, and stepped back outside to view the aircraft.  
  22. She noticed that there was something different about this
  23. aircraft on this day of April 14th, 1988.  She noticed that
  24. Prthe aircraft did not have any wings, appeared round, was
  25. a dark metallic color and traveling at about 150 to 200 MPH.
  26. At the closest the object was in relation to the witness, it
  27. passed directly over the subject at approx. 1000 feet.  She
  28. noticed that the round object had dipped downward without
  29. slowing when overhead.  Also, while observing the craft, she
  30. noticed that it had what appeared to her to be "portholes"
  31. in an uneven arrangement around the craft, and what appeared
  32. to be a strip around the middle that was self luminescence.

  34. Mrs. Trammell stated that she had the object in view for about
  35. 2 minutes, and no other aircraft were in sight.  The outside
  36. temp. was 60 degrees f.  She also stated that she listened for
  37. any sound, but the object was silent.

  39. A check was made with the Pocatello Police Dept. and the Idaho
  40. State Police, and the Pocatello Airport for any other reports
  41. of this sighting.  All were negative.
