  7. Here we present an interview with the
  8. man  behind  the  ±13Q.E.D.×   demo  from
  9. TALENT.  The demo was given an fourth
  10. place at demo-comp.  at the TG'93.
  11.  
  12. This  interview,  a crazy one really,
  13. was  done  by  BCR/Stone  Arts on the
  14. 8.june 1993.

  16. ±12BCR:×Ok,  could  you  please introduce
  17. yourself and your group?
  18.  
  19. ±12STG:×Very  original  BCR!!  Well, I am
  20. 19  years  old,  and  I'm  one of the
  21. founders  of TALENT.  (It was Jukebox
  22. and  I  who  started this group, some
  23. years  ago).  I am also a coder , and
  24. I  have  been  coding for 3 1/2 years
  25. now.

  27. ±12BCR:×Right.    There's  probably  some
  28. guys  out  there who haven't heard so
  29. much about Talent.  Could you tell us
  30. a bit about the group?
  31.  
  32. ±12STG:×Do  you really think so????  Hmm,
  33. strange,  but  if  there  really  are
  34. people  out  there that didn't notice
  35. that  we're  the only group that have
  36. gotten  an  incredible  12.9%  in ±13RAW×
  37. (thanks  COCY),  then  maybe I should
  38. have a little history lesson for you.
  39.  
  40. Well,  it started some years ago.  In
  41. 1991  actually.   During  the  sommer
  42. vacation  Jukebox  and  I  left ±13SHADE×
  43. (have  anyone  heard of Shade???),and
  44. we  decided  to  found  a  new group,
  45. which  we  called Talent.  Anyway, we
  46. released   a  shitty  demo,which  was
  47. slaughtered  in  RAW,  but  I  won 50
  48. disks  in  the  demo  competition  in
  49. ±13ARENDAL×,   so   I  was  happy  anyway
  50. (pretty  good payment for such a lame
  51. demo!)
  52.  
  53. After  that  we've  become  a  bigger
  54. group   (we   were   just  4  in  the
  55. beginning),  and  we've released some
  56. intros  now and then.  During 1992 we
  57. worked  on a little trackmo, which is
  58. now released under the name of Q.E.D.
  59. (Hi,Andromeda).  ±13 Q.E.D.×   was by the
  60. way,  our  contribution  to  the demo
  61. competition at the ±13GATHERING 93×.
  62.  
  63. ±12BCR:×Well,  can you reveal some of the
  64. plans  ±13TALENT×  has  for  the  future,
  65. future releases etc.?
  66.  
  67. ±12STG:±13NECROLOGIC/TLN×  is  working  on a
  68. musicdisk,  called Premiere.  It will
  69. contain music from all our musicians,
  70. and  the  graphics  are  all drawm by
  71. ±13(kjott)MACE×.  Necro is probably going
  72. to  compete  in the intro competition
  73. in ±13KRISTIANSAND×.  The only problem is
  74. that  there  is no competition there,
  75. but  ±13NECRO× don't care (he can compete
  76. with   himself),and  remember  he  IS
  77. necrofil (and he is not a pervert, he
  78. just look like one (he,he))!!

  80. Apart  from  that,  I am working on a
  81. tiny-mini-demo-intro,which       will
  82. hopefully    be   released   sometime
  83. between 30.  july and 1.  august (Who
  84. said anything about ±13RENDEVOUZ 93?×)

  86. ±12BCR:×Could  you  tell us the amount of
  87. members  in  ±13TALENT×,  and  if you are
  88. going  to  grow  into  an even bigger
  89. group?
  90.  
  91. ±12STG:×We're  16  members  at  the  time
  92. being,  but  I  really  don't know if
  93. we're going to grow.  If any ±13TALENTED×
  94. people  contact  us,  there is always
  95. room   for  more.   (You  can't  have
  96. enough TALENT, ehh!?!)

  98. ±12BCR:×How  is your group build up?  I'm
  99. thinking  about the amount of coders,
  100. graphicians,  musicians,  etc..  What
  101. do  you  think  is the most important
  102. thing to have in a good group?
  103.  
  104. ±12STG:×Talent consists of:
  105.     ±1333%× coders
  106.     ±1333%× musicians
  107.     ±1333%× graphicians 
  108.     ±131%×  swappers
  109.  
  110. 3.5%  of  the  members  are necrofils
  111. (Who said i wasn't a lier???)
  112.  
  113. I  think  that friendship is the most
  114. important thing to have in a group.

  116. ±12BCR:×Hmmm....   What  do  you think of
  117. the scene here in ±13NORWAY× today?
  118.  
  119. ±12STG:×I  hate it!!!!!  No, seriously it
  120. is  quite  nice.   Most of the people
  121. are  nice and there are a lot of good
  122. groups.   But I really don't think it
  123. is very much different from the scene
  124. elsewhere   in   ±13EUROPE×  (except  for
  125. SPAIN, ITALY, GREECE, GERMANY and all
  126. the other contries below DENMARK).

  128. ±12BCR:×You  say  there are a numerous of
  129. good  groups here, could you tell the
  130. rest  of  the world some of your fave
  131. groups,      coders,     graphicians,
  132. musicians, demos etc.....
  133.  
  134. ±12STG:×I really don't have any favourite
  135. groups, coders etc.  I mean, they all
  136. have their different style, and it is
  137. different  to compare.  But I can say
  138. that ANDROMEDA has a very good soccer
  139. team.
  140.  
  141. ±12BCR:±13TALENT× also won the soccer compo.
  142. at  the  gathering'93,  how  did  you
  143. manage this?  Years of hard training,
  144. I bet??

  146. ±12STG:×We  have been training ever since
  147. 1991,  and  I must admit that we have
  148. stolen  some of the ideas that ±13DRILLO×
  149. use.   For example we use a 9-0-1 (in
  150. Lillestrom  we  had  to convert it to
  151. 4-0-1,of  course) system, which means
  152. that  everyone  is  helping  the goal
  153. keeper, while one lonely guy tries to
  154. get  a  goal  or  two.   This way the
  155. matches  normaly end 0-0, and we have
  156. the  chance to win the penalty compo.
  157. Quite  easy  really,  it  is much the
  158. same  system  as  ±13ARGETINA×  (remember
  159. Maradonna?) used some years ago in VM
  160. in ITALY (or wherever it was).

  162. Well,  seriously  we needed a helping
  163. hand  (thanks  HEIN og mannen med bla
  164. bukser).And  in the final, we won 5-2
  165. over ANDROMEDA.  I don't know how the
  166. guys  (OLP,  MACE,  MR.   Z,  HEIN og
  167. blabukse  mannen),  managed that as I
  168. were  eating chicken at that time (by
  169. the way it was chicken chop suey, and
  170. it  was like heaven compared to the 5
  171. pizzas   we  ate  after  the  fotball
  172. compo).
