- Glory, is stolen and Spock feels he must in someway help to
- retrieve it.

- 48. RULES OF ENGAGEMENT by Peter Morwood (Titan #32)

- The Enterprise is sent to the revolution hit planet of Dekkanar
- to rescue Federation members there. The Klingons are testing out

- at nothing to bring honour and glory to his Empire, its
- destination, Dekkanar. The Enterprise orbits the planet with
- orders under no circumstances to raise shields or use weapons.

- to discover a way to stop the killing.

- McCoy is forever complaining about the "centre seat". So when a
- simple mission comes along, Kirk beams down to the planet and
- leaves McCoy in command of the Enterprise. Then something goes
- wrong. Kirk disappears without trace and the Klingons show up
- showing more then a keen interest in the planet.

- A diplomatic ferrying mission goes horribly wrong, when a

- of the past, as they can find no way back.

- Elcidar Beta-3 is a tranquil planet that refuses to accept any
- form of technology. When they exhaust all of their natural means,

- strange being begins to stalk its corridors, as if it's own. And
- it does not hesitate to kill.

- 18 months after its 5 year mission the Enterprise is docked for a
- re-fit. The crew has gone its separate ways, and Admiral Kirk,
- now married, is Chief of Starfleet Operations. Scientist G'Dath
- is on the brink of the greatest discovery in Starfleet history.
- Klingon agents capture this discovery and Kirk and Lt. Riley are
- all that stands between peace or the devastation of the
- Federation.

- ------------------------

- For almost a century the two cultures of Chrellkan III and IV
- have enjoyed a peaceful relationship untill a rebel faction
- begins to cause disruption between the two societies. To help in
- the peace talks, Starfleet send the crew of the Enterprise to
- Chrellkan, and Kirk sends Spock and McCoy down to the planet to
- begin talks. But upon their arrival they are taken hostage and
- Kirk believes his friends killed as the secret of the disruptions
- becomes more evident as outside interference.

- 56. LEGACY by Michael Jan Friedman (Titan #50)
- ------------------------------

- On a routine survey, time becomes critical as Spock is poisoned
- by a huge creature of the planet Alpha Octavious. Kirk orders an
- immediate beam up for his friend as he continues the survey with
- the rest of the landing party. But disaster strikes as a freak
- cave in causes Kirk and his party to become trapped beneath the
- planets surface. Mr. Scott, in command of the Enterprise, orders
- a search of the planets surface and then Starfleet order the
- Enterprise away from the planet to investigate a mining colony
- under attack in the Beta Cabrini system. Once there, Spock has to
- feign good health as he is pitted against an old enemy from his
- days with Capt. Pike.

- 57. THE RIFT by Peter David (Titan #52)
- -----------------------

- The Enterprise, under the command of Christopher Pike, comes
- across a Rift in the fabric of space. When they enter and then
- emerge on its other side, Pike discovers a race of beings called
- the Calligar whom appear suspicious of the Federation's intent.
- After peacful negotiations, the Enterprise leaves the closing
- Rift to resume its mission. 33 years later the Enterprise, under
- the command of James T. Kirk, encounters the same Rift and send a
- shuttle commanded by Spock to rekindle the Federation's contact
- with the Calligarans. Things to not go according to plan when the
- Rift begins to close, Spock is seemingly trapped on the other
- side.

- 58. FACES OF FIRE by Michael Jan Friedman (Titan #53)

- En route to Alpha Malurian to settle a dispute between two
- religions, the Enterprise first stops to do a routine check on
- the progress of terraforming colony, Beta Canzandia Three.
- Leaving Spock to carry on scientific studies, the Enterprise
- carries on towards Alpha Malurian. Meanwhile a Klingon ship
- arrives at Canzandia Three to take control of the facility there.
- The colonists are imprisoned, and Spock must defeat the Klingons
- or face certain death.

- 59. THE DISINHERITED by Robert Greenberger, Michael (Titan #54)

- A mysterious alien force is brutally attacking Federation worlds.
- Gamma Xaird - a peaceful research colony - is the third world to
- fall under the attacks. Kirk and his crew are sent to investigate
- only to find the planet completely devastated. Then a nearby
- colony is attacked and the Enterprise rushes to its aid and
- manages to make the invaders flee. Spock makes a startling
- discovery as to the reason behind the attacks, a reason that if
- realised could have deadly consequences.

- An orbital shuttle carrying civilian research scientists explodes
- in a mysterious magnetic storm on the icebound planet of
- Nordstral and the scientists disappear among the native
- population. Answering a distress call, Kirk and the Enterprise
- arrive to find an inexplicable form of insanity affecting the
- remaining researchers. Kirk and McCoy board a vast submarine ship
- which travels under the ice-coated surface of the planet,
- harvesting the planets indigenous plankton. Meanwhile Uhura and
- Chekov lead a rescue team in search of the missing scientists,
- but are soon attacked by the natives who are called the Kitka.
- Both teams begin to unravel the mystery of Nordstral - a mystery
- that could have deadly consequences for the crew of the
- Enterprise and the entire world.
