As you can proberly imagine, this edition of LET'S SEE... is somewhat one of a bumper edition so be prepared once more to be parting with that hard earned money. These guy's really do know the meaning of the term, to look after ones customers. Thanks. Of course the big news at the moment is the new film GENERATIONS. You can expect ALOT of merchandise for this release. Of interest to collectors will be the Playmates Captain Kirk figure (wearing space/jumpsuit). If rumours are true the opening of the movie depicting Kirk in this suit, has been cut. So making this figure VERY collectorble. Buy more than one. You have been warned. Also it would appear that the WHOLE range of Generations figures of the next Gen crew in their modified TV coustumes are to be withdrawn along with the figure of Soran. By the time that you read this, all will be confirmed. Comicbooks seem to be dominating the Trek universe at the moment, with mini series from both DC & Malibu, and of course their own crossover involving the Next Gen and DS9, and also specials and annuals. With the promise of more to come. Many of these titles are listed below to help you not miss any of the releases. Prices indicated are for advance imports, (Except Videos). VIDEOS -------- STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION ------------------------------ By the time you read this CIC have released ALL the televised episodes of the Next Gen. At Christmas they plan to release the full 90 min version of ALL GOOD THINGS (Yes it was the two part cut syndicated version that was releaed as tape 89), coupled with the JOURNEY'S END documentary with Johnathan Frakes. Also released in time for Christmas were two Next Gen compilations - The Borg set, featuring all the Borg episodes, and The Q set, featuring all the Q episodes with the exception of ALL GOOD THINGS. Also out are all of the 2 parters, released as feature length editions. STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE 9 £10.99 or less. ----------------------- Also if all goes to plan, you should be able to begin buying season three of DS9. At long last we come face to face with the Dominion and also find out the origin of Odo. And thats just in the first two episodes. COMICS -------- DC: Regular and Mini Series £1.40, Special £2.85 --- STAR TREK #63 : While Spock attempts to pursuade the Wumpers to let him search for his Captain, Kirk wanders alone on an alien planet - lost in time. STAR TREK #64 : In this story, set during Kirk's earliest days aboard the Enterprise, he must come to face the parents of Gary Mitchell, whom Kirk was forced to kill in WHERE NO MAN HAS GONE BEFORE. STAR TREK #65 : Without warning, the Enterprise is sent on a top secret mission, ferrying a Vulcan diplomat who is authorized to countermand any of Kirk's orders. And a part of Spock's past makes an appearance. STAR TREK #66 : For the first time in years, Spock comes face to face with Stonn (AMOK TIME). Now an ambassador, Stonn oversees the welbeing of a troubled planet that is of great interest to the Romulans. The delicate negociations are endangered by his daughters rash behaviour and Kirk's interference. STAR TREK #67 : Kirk's actions have offeneded an alien race, leading to the threat of interstellar war. Only Spock's old rival, Ambassador Stonn, may be able to undo the damage before the Romulans can take advantage of the situation. STAR TREK #68 : Stonn's admission that he knew of his own fatal illness puts delicate negotiations in jeopardy. Meanwhile, on the planet 'Gi, Spock attempts to reason with Stonn's rebelious daughter, whose actions have threatened the treaty and placed her and Spock in mortal danger. STAR TREK #69 : In part one of A WOLF IN CHEAP CLOTHING, the new 3 part story, the Klingon Empire is poised to enter an expansionist phase, threatening the shaky new peace with the Federation. Starfleet sends its two best ships, the Enterprise & the Excelsior, to learn the truth on the planet Zantak Prime, where Kirk finds himself in the strange position of trying to help a Klingon colonist. STAR TREK #70 : Prt two of this new three part story finds the situation even more volatile than Starfleet had first believed. Kirk pulls out the landing party from Zantak Prime, a Klingon frontier world in the middle of a tense political upheaval. STAR TREK SPECIAL #2 : In the first of the two storys in this special, the Enterprise is sent to salvage the Starship Defiant, which was lost decades ago when it became trapped within the dimensional shift in the episode THE THOLIAN WEB. The derelicts reappearance is threatening the fragile peace between the Federation and the Tholians. In the second story, set before events seen in the film STAR TREK 6, Savaak meets Valaris, a Vulcan with a disquieting duplicity in her character that only Savaak can see. The cover is painted by Emmy Award winning artist Dan Curry. Who is the Next Gen's visual effects supervisor. STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION #63 The Enterprise encounters a destroyed Cardassian vessel carrying a lone survivor - a Romulan. He claims to be fleeing his governmentto prevent it from controlling a new virus that can destroy Dilithium crystals. STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION #64 Crash landing on a remote planet in a Runabout, LaForge and his companions come across another downed Runabout piloted by - LaForge of a parallel universe. Meanwhile on the Enterprise, Picard learns that his Romulan guest is wanted by the Cardassian Union, the Ferangi Alliance and the Romulan Empire. STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION #65 Held at Phaserpoint by his counterpart, Geordi La Forge must find aout who is really in the wrong reality, before irreparable damage is done to the timestream. Meanwhile, on the Enterprise, Picard is determined to find out if his Romulan guest is telling the truth. STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION #66 When a spacegoing creature that has saved a planet's enviroment suddenly becomes dangerous, Dr. Crusher leads the investigation to learn what happened to cause the change. STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION #67 In this first part of a new 4 part story called, FRIENDS & OTHER STRANGERS, Riker is reunited with his old crewmates from his days abroad the Hood in order to keep an old promise to a dying alien race. elsewhere, Ro's Shuttlecraft crashes on a mysterious planet inhabited by an even more mysterious benefactor. STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION #68 In part two of this four part story, Ro becomes the guest of her mysterious benefactor, a hooded being who shows her every kindness but will not reveal his identity. On Altair 3, Riker and his Away Team struggle to finish their journey across hostile terrain while tensions grow. STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION #69 In the penultimate part to the story, Riker must learn who among his friends is a killer while still trying to carry out his promise to the people of Altair III. At a medical conference, disrupted by a terroist, Beverley Crusher meets Kate Pulaski. STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION #70 Commander Riker finds that keeping an old promise has inadvertenly led to murder... and the creation of a machine that may destroy the very civilization Riker believed he was preserving, bringing to a close this four part adventure STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION - SHADOWHEART #1 This four part miniseries features on the Klingons as Worf is asked to undertake a covert mission by the Klingon Empire's High Council. A Klingon colony is threatened by an underground movement of the planet's indigenous life-forms. A movement that is led by Nikolai Rozhenko, Worf's human foster brother. STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION - SHADOWHEART #2 Worf, his brother Kurn, and Riker attempt to quell the rebellion led by Shadowheart on the planet Nothia. Intercepted by Klingon security forces, their only hope to keep the mission secret is to escape into the planet's deadly jungles. STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION SPECIAL #2 Ensign Ro reaches a major crossroads in her life when she goes on an Away Team mission in a crisis that is close to the same mission that led to her court martial and imprisonment. In a sequel to Chris Claremont's DEBT OF HONOR graphic novel, Jamie Finney is brought into the 24th century as Picard and his crew carry a mysterious passenger who seems intent on the destruction of the Klingon high council. And finally in a sequel to the episode CAUSE & EFFECT, Captain Bateson is finding it difficult to adapt to life in the 24th century. So with a suggestion from Councellor Troi, Captain Montgomery Scott is called upon to help Bateson with his adjustments. STAR TREK: GENERATIONS ADAPTATION This adaptation is being released in two different formats. The prestige edition features a painted cover by Sonia Hillios, and written by Micheal Jan Friedman with art by Gordon Purcell and Jerome Moore, possibly with card cover. The other edition is the New Format version, which is exactly the same content as above but with a paper cover and cheaper price. As a retired Bajoran war spy (who is half Cardassian) visits the station while on her way to her homeworld, she comes across the hatred felt by the Bajorans because of her hybrid features and do not see her for the hero she really is. Will Major Kira turn her back on her fellow Bajoran too? STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE #18 The past catches up with Dax. She's lived with the memories of several symbiont lives, but she's tried to forget the man Jadzia loved before she was Dax. Gwyn has come to DS9, and all the old emotions fly anew.
