  27. EdWord is an extremely powerful, general purpose text editor which offers a
  28. host of useful and helpful facilities. Since Edword's initial release 4
  29. years ago it has undergone a myriad of improvements and updates resulting in
  30. the current version which provides an indispensable aid for every Amiga
  31. user. As you might expect, the basic function of EdWord is to edit text and
  32. in this role, it offers all the rudimentary facilities which any text editor
  33. might offer, but what makes EdWord that bit more special are the extra
  34. options which it provides. The following is a list of some of the more
  35. notable functions which are supported by version 5.6:

  37.     ·@4 Multiple Documents: you  can  edit  up to  15 documents at once
  38.       (memory permitting, of course)  with  a  split screen option to
  39.       view two of them together.
  40. @2    ·@4 A Macro Facility:  lets  you record any sequence of keypresses/
  41.       mouse clicks and menu selections, and then play them back. This
  42.       is very useful for automating small repetitive jobs.
  43.     @2·@4 An ARexx port  offering an extensive and comprehensive range of
  44.       commands to provide full automation of EdWord; with the ability
  45.       to enter these commands directly (without using ARexx), as well
  46.       as run any ARexx script from within the editor.

  48.       data files which have been packed with this cruncher

  79.       for arranging a list of names, games etc.
  80.     @2·@4 checks RAM for any viruses or suspicious programs when it first
  81.       loads up and alerts the user if it finds anything strange.

  83.       standards,  custom or WorkBench screen and the ability to work
  84.       in interlace mode and upto 8 colours.

  87.       the print pitch and quality.

  89. There  are  an awful lot of features offered by EdWord which  may  never  be
  90. discovered by the casual user.  If you intend to get the most  out  of  this
  91. excellent text editor,  then it would be a good idea to have a quick  glance
